Come, Let Us Sing for Joy Before the Lord!

Come, Let Us Sing for Joy Before the Lord!

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” – Psalm 95:1-2

When you consider all that the Lord has done for you, how do you respond?

  • For some, we may stand in awe…speechless at the magnitude of what God has done.
  • For others, we may shout for joy and sing songs of praise.
  • For others, we may feel an unstoppable urge to tell others and proclaim the good works of our God and King.
  • You may have, yet, another way.

These are all great ways to respond.

The truth is God has done great things.

Take a few minutes to think of some of the things God has done.

These may be things from your personal life (friends, family, a job, healing, etc.) or things that affect us all (salvation, God’s Spirit, the church, etc.)

Now, take a few minutes to praise Him for what He has done.

You may pray, sing, dance, call a friend, or however you feel like expressing your thanks and praise to God for what He has done.

Let’s also join together to thank and praise the Lord.

The Christian life is not solely a personal faith. It is also a corporate faith. As one who believes in Jesus, you are part of the body of Christ, the church. So, we do not just thank and praise the Lord individually, but together, as the church.

Tomorrow is Sunday. I encourage you to attend a worship service to come together with other believers before the Lord with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.

If you are in the Wesley Chapel, FL area, I encourage you to join with us at Faith Lutheran Church. Tomorrow, we will be having a Thanksgiving prayer service at 11am. See you there!

We meet at Song and Dance Dance Studio:

27221 Foamflower Blvd.
Wesley Chapel, FL 33544

Heavenly Father,

You have done wonderful things. You provide for me, give me friends and family, make me a part of Your church, and, most of all, have saved me and forgiven my sins through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Thank you.

Amen.

In Christ’s Service,

Pastor Kurt
