O, Holy Night

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen!

Today’s Devotional Message from Pastor Kurt:

Next, let’s spend some time in prayer.

Heavenly Father,

I pray for those who are trapped in slavery. I pray for their freedom and that You would work justice in this time. I pray also for those who are oppressed, especially those who are oppressed for their faith in You. Protect them and free them. Show me where I can help the oppressed and enslaved. Even more than their earthly freedom, I ask that You reveal to them the freedom they can have in You. For those who are already Your people, give them strength to endure.

Lord, I also pray for my family, friends, and neighbors who do not know You. They are enslaved as well to sin, death, and the devil. I pray that You would send them the Gospel through me or others and that they would receive it in faith when they hear. Give me boldness to speak and, when I do, give me the words to say.

(Take this time to pray whatever is on your heart.)

The Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.

Amen
