A note from our church president about returning to in-person services:

On May 31st, we held a Congregational Meeting to discuss changing the time we gather for worship from 4 pm to 11 am, more like when we’ve been doing the online service. All who attended were in favor so long as our setup time was reasonable (so we wouldn’t have to arrive at 7 am)

Then on June 14th, the congregation voted to give the Church Council the authority to decide what day and time to return to in-person worship because there were still some questions to be resolved, such as how much we would have to do to sanitize the worship space. We worked everything out with the dance studio and the Council decided to return to worship on July 12th (this Sunday) at 11 am.

As we return to live services on Sunday 7/12/20, please note the following:

1. Social distancing will be observed while sitting and moving around the room.
2. Masks are encouraged
3. Hand sanitizer will be available
4. You will need to provide your own tissues
5. If you have a fever or have been exposed to Covid-19, please remain at home as not to expose others to the virus. The service will be streaming, so you can still attend the service virtually.

We have begun celebrating Communion every week, as we had in the past. We have come up with a way of doing Communion so that we are able to maintain social distancing.

Lastly, but very importantly, these are extraordinary times and the return to worshiping in-person is a matter of Christian freedom. For those who are ready, we’ll be there. For those who don’t feel comfortable or are unable to attend, please don’t feel pressured to do so. We will continue to have the live-streamed service so you can continue to worship from the safety of your home. Either choice is one that each Christian can make according to their own conscience.

God bless!

Church President
