Of course, it is not just one day out of the year that we should remember Jesus’ sufferings and death. We remember it daily. As we daily confess our sins and hear the Word of God tell us that our sins are forgiven, we face the cross once again with both sorrow and joy.

I could go on about the authority of Jesus as Lord, but, today, I thought we’d focus on another aspect of this statement in the creed. Jesus is our Lord. This is both a statement of fact and a statement of submission

In this part of the Apostles’ Creed, we talk about who Jesus is, His identity. We don’t just say we believe in Jesus, we identify Him according to what He has revealed to us through the Bible. Jesus is the Son of God.

Jesus is God as much as the Father and the Holy Spirit. In His deity, He is almighty, eternal, all-loving, all-knowing and deserving of all glory, honor, and praise.
Jesus is also fully human, like you and I. He got hungry. He slept. He felt pain. He bled. He died.

We like to think of ourselves as belonging to us. I am my own man/woman!…but are you?

He is Risen! A few weeks ago, we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus. So, I thought it would be good to do a blog series

There are a lot of things in life where we just don’t know what will happen, whether it’s trying something new or talking to someone about Jesus. It can be scary. But we have to decide whether we are willing to take the chance.
