Happy Valentine’s Day?

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Valentines can be a great holiday. It can also be a tough holiday. Our culture focuses so much on romantic love on Valentines that for those who either do not have a romantic love or who have lost a loved one, it can be heart-breaking.

If this is you, today, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that you will find comfort and love in the one who gave His life for you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. His love never fails. I also pray that the love of your brothers and sisters in Christ will fill your heart.

I know it’s not the same, but know that you are loved with a love greater than any man or woman has had for anyone.

Heavenly Father,

Comfort those who are mourning. Give fulfillment to those who are longing. Heal those who are hurting.

Amen.
