Help Me, God!

Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” – Psalm 118:5-6

How is your life going right now?

Are things going well or are you struggling? Are the finances good or are you having trouble making ends meet? How is your health?

Life can get pretty difficult and scary at times. Job loss, sickness, broken relationships, and more can hurt us and cause great fear.

Fear not!

How wonderful that the Lord has told us to come to Him when we suffer, are anxious, or are afraid. He will listen and answer. God does not leave us alone in this world. He cares for you and works for your good.

God doesn’t always immediately take away our struggles and hardships. Sometimes He works through them. However, He goes with us every step of the way.

Jesus is no stranger to hardship. He endured persecution, humiliation, beatings, and even death for us. He knows what it’s like and He is with you. He sends His Spirit to comfort you and strengthen you in the hardship.

Take a few minutes to pray and lay your fears and suffering at Jesus’ feet. He will listen and answer.

Dear Jesus,

You suffered greatly for me and my salvation. Thank you for caring for me. Right now, there are some things I am going through which are a struggle and make me anxious.

(pray for those hardships in your life)

I give these things to You knowing You love me and are more than able to handle them. If it is within Your will, please remove these hardships from me. However, if You deem that I should continue in these hardships, comfort and strengthen me and help me to trust You.

Amen.

In Christ’s Service,

Pastor Kurt
