It’s hump day!
Have you ever felt like even Wednesday still feels like Monday? Some weeks feel like they will never end. Some months or years feel like that. It’s just one thing after another and it can wear you down.
Jesus said,
“In this world you will have troubles, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
We may be wasting away on the outside, but God sends His Spirit to renew us inwardly. Our hope is beyond this temporary suffering.
Take a few minutes thinking about your salvation and the life to come with Jesus in Heaven. If you are doing this as a family or group devotion, take a few minutes describing to each other what your salvation means to you and what the Bible says Heaven will be like.
Dear Jesus,
For the joy that was set before You, You endured the cross, despising the shame, and brought us new life. Renew me and give me strength. Help me to praise You in life’s storms and to always live in the hope of the life to come.

How To Use These Posts
The Other Six is a short, daily devotional blog post. You can use these posts for personal devotions, however, I’m also going to write them in such a way that you could use them for family devotions. I’ll include a Bible verse, questions and/or discussion points, and a closing prayer. I highly encourage you to do these devotions with your family or friends if possible.
