Love Others Authentically

Love is a powerful thing. However, love is also something we don’t always understand in out society. We say love things and people, but our actions don’t always show it.

“Let love be genuine.” – Romans 12:9

When it comes to Christians in the U.S., today, people outside the church tend to be skeptical. They watch us. They hear us talk about love and that’s great, but they want to see it if they are going to believe we mean it.

When people know you love them with authentic love, they are more willing to open up to you and trust you.

This isn’t just for people who want to share Jesus with. They will also see how we treat others. So, if we seek to love everyone we interact with, genuinely. Beyond mission, it’s just good to love people genuinely.

This may mean being willing to be inconvenienced and sacrificing our wants to help others.

Today: Think about how you interact with others and how you can put your love for people into action.

In Christ’s Service,

Pastor Kurt
