Good morning. How do you feel about the upcoming day?
Are you feeling nervous about anything?
We all face troubles and situations that make us nervous. Maybe we have a big presentation coming up. Maybe there’s tension in a relationship. Maybe we’re not sure how to make ends meet this month.
The psalmist, here, has a way of dealing with that fear. He starts his day singing of the Lord’s love and strength. In other Psalms, he proclaims the many works God has done in the past reminding him that God is faithful and mighty.
See what Romans 8:31 has to say…
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31
So, go ahead and try it. Start every day this week singing of the love and strength of the Lord and reminding yourself that the Lord goes with you. And, if He goes with you, you have nothing to fear.
Heavenly Father,
You are great and mighty. Nothing is greater than You. You also love me more than I can imagine. If you are for me, what can truly harm me? Please watch over me and protect me this day. Help me with the following situation(s)…
(pray for anything your are concerned about or which makes you nervous.)
Help me to trust in Your goodness and know You’ve got this taken care of.
