Opening Song: Good, Good, Father
I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think You’re like.
But I’ve heard the tender whisper of love in the dead of night.
You tell me that You’re pleased and that I’m never alone.
Chorus:
You’re a good, good father.
It’s who You are. It’s who You are. It’s who You are.
And I’m loved by you. It’s who I am. It’s who I am. It’s who I am.
Verse 2:
I’ve seen many searching for answers far and wide.
But I know we’re all searching for answers only You provide.
Because You know just what we need before we say a word.
Chorus:
You’re a good, good father.
It’s who You are. It’s who You are. It’s who You are.
And I’m loved by you. It’s who I am. It’s who I am. It’s who I am.
Bridge:
You are perfect in all of your ways.
You are perfect in all of your ways.
You are perfect in all of your ways to us.
Verse 3:
Love so undeniable I can hardly speak.
Peace so unexplainable I can hardly think,
As You call me deeper still. As You call me deeper still.
As You call me deeper still into love, love, love.
Chorus:
You’re a good, good father.
It’s who You are. It’s who You are. It’s who You are.
And I’m loved by you. It’s who I am. It’s who I am. It’s who I am.
You’re a good, good father.
It’s who You are. It’s who You are. It’s who You are.
And I’m loved by you. It’s who I am. It’s who I am. It’s who I am.

Invocation
Confession and Forgiveness:
P: Come into the presence of the Lord our God.
C: Have mercy, O Lord. If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand; but if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
P: We take a moment to reflect on our lives and confess our sins.
(a time of silence to reflect and personally confess our sins)
P: I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Let us confess our sin before the Lord. Let us confess together.
C: Heavenly Father, we confess that we are sinners. We have sinned against you and our neighbors. We have not loved you with our whole heart and we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve Your punishment. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
P: The Lord is gracious and merciful. He promises to forgive our sins. Therefore, upon this, your confession, as a called and ordained servant of the Lord, in the stead and by the command of my Lord, Jesus Christ, I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen.
Song of Praise and Thanksgiving: Amazing Grace
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found. Was blind but now I see.
T’was grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
bright shining as the sun,
we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise,
than when we’ve first begun.

Old Testament Reading – Isaiah 55:1-3
“Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live;
and I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
my steadfast, sure love for David.
Reader: This is the Word of the Lord.
C: Thanks be to God.
Epistle Reading – 1 Peter 2:21-25
For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Reader: This is the Word of the Lord.
C: Thanks be to God.
Gospel Reading – John 10:7-16
So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.
P: This is the Gospel of the Lord.
C: Praise be to You, O Christ.
Children’s Message
Sermon Song: Cornerstone
My hope is built on nothing less,
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ name.
Chorus:
Christ alone, Cornerstone, Weak made strong in the Savior’s love.
Through the storm He is Lord, Lord of all.
When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale My anchor holds within the veil.
My anchor holds within the veil.
Chorus:
Christ alone, Cornerstone, Weak made strong in the Savior’s love.
Through the storm He is Lord, Lord of all.
He is Lord. Lord of all.
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found,
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless, stand before the throne.
Chorus:
Christ alone, Cornerstone, Weak made strong in the Savior’s love.
Through the storm He is Lord, Lord of all.

Sermon – “Abundant Life”
Prayers
Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen

I love you, Lord, For your mercy never fails me.
All my days, I’ve been held in your hands
From the moment that I wake up, Till I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God
Chorus
All my life you have been faithful.
All my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God
Verse 2
I love your voice. You have led me through the fire
In darkest night you are close like no other.
I’ve known you as a father. I’ve known you as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God
(Repeat last time)
(Chorus)
