The idea of sharing the Gospel with others can be pretty scary. Most people feel reluctant. In part, that is because our society has created barriers that can make it awkward. In part, it’s because we don’t feel like we have any idea what we are doing.

We can’t change the societal norms easily, but we can learn how to deal with them and we can learn more about how to talk with others about Jesus so we feel more prepared.

Today: Pick up a book about sharing Jesus with others and start reading it. You don’t have to finish it today, but start it and commit to reading it to the end.

A Word of Caution:
There are a lot of people who write evangelism books who think our presentation of the Gospel is what will “convince” someone to believe rather than faith being the work of the Holy Spirit. They tend to put an emphasis on technique. The techniques they talk about may still be good, but know that God is responsible for the results, not you. It’s good to know this as you read these types of books.
