Next, let’s spend some time in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Your Son to give us life and salvation. Bless this Christmas day. Be with all who are alone as well as those who are hurting or mourning. May we all remember that Jesus birth was just part of Your plan of salvation and His return will bring our salvation to it’s fullness and we will know Emmanuel in all His glory with no more death or tears or sin.
(Take this time to pray whatever is on your heart.)
The Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.
Amen

Heavenly Father,
You watch over us day and night. Stay by our side until the day morning dawns at Your return. Help us also to prepare our children for that day. Even from infancy, let us tell them about Jesus that they may grow in faith and stature, knowing their savior from very beginning. Help us to bring them to You in baptism and I pray that you would watch over our children and give them faith.

Next, let’s spend some time in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
You have done marvelous things throughout history and in my life. Help me to revere Christ as Lord in my heart that I would live out that reverence in faith with the people around me. I pray that would cause people to wonder why I’m different and ask why I have the hope that I have in You. Then give me the answer they need to hear that they may know the hope You offer like I do, that they would come to know You as Lord and Savior, like I do.

Next, let’s spend some time in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
I pray for those who are trapped in slavery. I pray for their freedom and that You would work justice in this time. I pray also for those who are oppressed, especially those who are oppressed for their faith in You. Protect them and free them. Show me where I can help the oppressed and enslaved. Even more than their earthly freedom, I ask that You reveal to them the freedom they can have in You. For those who are already Your people, give them strength to endure.
Lord, I also pray for my family, friends, and neighbors who do not know You. They are enslaved as well to sin, death, and the devil. I pray that You would send them the Gospel through me or others and that they would receive it in faith when they hear. Give me boldness to speak and, when I do, give me the words to say.

Next, let’s spend some time in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
In the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season with all the singing and rejoicing, give me moments of stillness and silence that I might ponder the wonders of the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Next, let’s spend some time in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
I am poor in spirit. I have nothing of value to bring to You. Even my greatest deeds are like filthy rags before You. Thank You for blessing the poor in spirit and giving us Your Spirit. Thank You for giving us life and abiding with us that we would produce wonderful fruit by Your power and according to Your will. May I always remain humble, trusting solely in the work of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father,
Fill my heart with Your praise that I would sing of Your salvation and proclaim what You have done to the ends of the earth. Help me to treasure the songs of old which sing of Your works as well as join in the new songs which do the same. Through all music I sing, new and old, may Your name be lifted up.

Heavenly Father,
Give me a hunger for Your Word. As I read Your Word, help me to understand it by the power of Your Spirit and keep me from error. Thank you for the gift of music and it’s ability to connect with us in ways no other type of communication can.

Heavenly Father,
Jesus came and gave the greatest gift ever to us poor sinners. Be with the poor and those in need around the world. Provide for them. Help me to have compassion on those in need and to be willing to go out of my way to show them dignity and care. Give me wisdom to discover how to best help them and then the courage to do what needs to be done.
